DJ Haram “21st century Bauhaus Sounds”
Philadelphia-based DJ HARAM’s polyrhythmic DJ sets have little to do with the 4/4-based monotony of German techno clubs. Characterised by a variety of different influences – from the sound cultures of the Middle East to noise and experimental sounds – her sets are much more about formulating the utopia of an abstract and diverse club sound of the future. For Richard Siegal’s recently founded company “Ballet of Difference” she composed the soundtrack for the opening piece, “BOD”. DJ HARAM also forms the noise/rap group 700 BLISS together with musician Moor Mother. For 100 jahre bauhaus. Das Eröffnungsfestival the US American with Lebanese roots creates a really special sound on the decks for the Bauhaus parties of the 21st century.
