After many years of theatre work and more than 30 productions at German-language municipal theatres, as a duo wittmann und zeitblom have been producing audio and live performance projects covering experimental music collage, radio opera and performative concert since 2010.

Christian Wittmann born 1967 in Munich, lives in Berlin.
After studying acting in Munich he worked as an actor at municipal and state theatres in Munich, Düsseldorf, Bremen, Lübeck, Zurich, Vienna and Berlin, and in the TV and radio area. He has been staging productions at the Linz and Schleswig-Holstein state theatres since 2000, and also designs and implements audio and performance projects.

zeitblom born 1962 in Rosenheim, lives in Berlin.
Bass player, composer and producer of medial installations, radio play, theatre, ballet and film music, and appears in various group arrangements as a live musician. Releases and concerts at home and abroad. Numerous compositions for radio play, theatre, film and ballet productions since 1996. In 1984 he founded the band “Sovetskoe Foto”, in which he played until 1993. Numerous successful musical encounters with musicians followed with this formation, such as John Zorn, Fred Frith, Arto Lindsay, Zeena Parkins, Bern Nix and Jim “Foetus” Thirlwell, among others. Together with Christian Fennesz he formed the electronic duo “Golden Tone” from 1999 to 2001. He was the bass player with the “Pole Band” from 2005 to 2007. From 2008 to 2011 he played with the two Australian drummers Tony Buck and Steve Heather, and with Viennese guitarist Martin Siewert in the experimental psychedelic blues band, “Heaven And”. At the end of 2011, together with Jochen Arbeit from “Einstürzende Neubauten” and Achim Färber of “Projekt Pitchfork” he formed the band “Automat”, with which he has so far released three albums.
